What is JanaNiaga?

JanaNiaga is a National Supply Chain Finance Platform, which is set to assist the financial position of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) leveraging on the financial strength of Paymasters (Government entity and/or GLCs).

JanaNiaga will onboard Paymasters to help their Vendors with financing to ensure consistent and quality service to Paymasters.

Is this program available to vendors of any Government Entity or GLCs?

  • Government entities and GLCs will be onboarded in phases, with Telekom Malaysia and PETRONAS initiating the launch.
  • Please reach out to support@jananiaga.gov.my and/or your Paymaster if you would like your Paymaster to be part of this program.

Who is eligible for the program?

  • You are eligible if you are currently a vendor for any onboard Paymaster of the JanaNiaga Programme:
    1. Telekom Malaysia
    2. PETRONAS

 

Application Process and Eligibility

Is there a minimum invoice value required to apply for financing?

  • There is no minimum or maximum limit for this program.

Will the financial status of my company impact my application?

  • No, this facility is offered by funders with Paymaster confirmation of approved payables while leveraging on their financial strength.

Does my company need to have minimum 3 years of audited accounts, or supply collateral for financing?

  • No, this facility is offered by funders with Paymaster confirmation of approved payables while leveraging on their financial strength.

Is there a minimum frequency of invoice issued per month required to apply for financing?

  • No, any frequency of invoice issuance is acceptable

Is this only available to Bumiputra Vendors?

  • No, this is offered to all active Vendors servicing the onboard Paymasters.

Technical and Operational Information

What is the margin of finance offered?

  • For Post Shipment financing, JanaNiaga will offer up to 100% of the invoice value.

What are the typical rates offered for financing?

  • For Post Shipment invoice financing, JanaNiaga will be offering financing rate of up to 3.5% p.a. with platform fees of up to 0.35%

What are the fees associated with this application?

  • There are no application fees to apply for financing.

Do I need to apply for Takaful/insurance?

  • No, there are no mandatory insurance requirements for the program.

Can I select only specific invoices to apply for financing?

  • JanaNiaga Platformoffers an “Auto- Request” functionality, where financing will be disbursed to Vendors for invoices uploaded by Paymasters.
  • Vendors will be able to disable the Auto Request functionality and select specific invoices and early disbursement dates for their financing request.
